  • Fixed some scripts and embeds failing to load after consent when their addresses contain multiple query parameters.
  • Corrected consent-panel totals for shortened service lists and kept current-page-only lists free of notices about other pages.
  • The consent panel can now show what each choice actually controls. Expanding a category lists the services being held on that page, what they typically store on a visitor's device and for how long, and a link to each provider's privacy policy. Exact addresses sit under a second "Technical details" heading so the panel stays readable. Turn it on in Options; it is off until you do, and existing panels are unchanged.
  • The block confirmation now shows the cookies a service is known to set before you commit to blocking it, so you can see what a category covers without leaving the screen.

My cookie banner already works. Why would I need NexusConsent PRO?
A consent setup can be correct today and fall behind tomorrow. A new extension, an embedded video or a tracking code added during a campaign can introduce services you haven’t reviewed. NexusConsent PRO helps you keep up with those changes through scheduled rescans, change notifications and a service inventory. It’s built for people who maintain websites—not just set them up once.
What does NexusConsent PRO watch for?
NexusConsent scans your public pages for scripts, embedded content and other resources, identifies recognized services, and flags unknown external resources for review. PRO's Scheduled rescans help you spot changes over time. These are periodic checks, not continuous monitoring of every visitor’s browser.
What happens when a scan finds something new?
You receive a change notification through your configured notification channel. Open NexusConsent to review the detected service, choose its consent category, and decide whether to block it until consent or ignore it. Scheduled scans update your inventory without silently changing your consent rules. You stay in control of what gets applied.
Can I give my client a record of the work I’ve done?
Yes. Dated Setup Health reports and a history of consent-rule changes help you explain what was checked and what you changed. Stored consent records can also be exported as CSV. These provide a practical maintenance record you can share with clients. They are not a legal compliance certificate.
How much work does it need after the initial setup?
Set your scan schedule and notification preferences, then review changes as they appear. You don’t need to repeat the same discovery work manually every week. Some checks still need you to try the website yourself - for example, using the consent controls with a keyboard. NexusConsent keeps these in a separate browser checklist with instructions and a place to record your observations.
Will visitors still be able to use blocked videos and maps?
Yes. Smart Embeds can replace supported blocked videos, maps and other embedded content with a useful placeholder and a clear action to load that item. Instead of an unexplained empty space, visitors can see what content is waiting and decide whether to load it. You choose which supported providers use Smart Embeds in the component settings.
Can I upgrade without losing my existing settings or consent records?
Yes. NexusConsent PRO is designed to preserve your existing NexusConsent settings and consent records when upgrading a compatible installation. If you’re starting fresh, the PRO package includes the consent engine. You don’t need to find and install the Free plugin separately.
Does a high Setup Health score mean my site is GDPR compliant?
No. Setup Health measures automatic checks of your saved configuration and scan results. It helps you find setup issues and understand what needs attention. It cannot determine whether your privacy notices, legal basis or wider data-handling practices meet every obligation. Browser checks are shown separately and do not increase your automatic setup score.
Does visitor consent data leave my website?
NexusConsent stores consent records in your Joomla installation. You don’t need an external consent-management account.
Can I use NexusConsent PRO on several client websites?
Yes - one license covers unlimited websites. Each website runs NexusConsent inside its own Joomla installation, with its own settings, scan schedule, service inventory and records. You manage each site from its own Joomla administrator; this is not a separate hosted agency dashboard.
Will scanning slow down my website?
Scanning makes requests to your public pages, so it uses some server resources. Scans work within configured limits rather than crawling without bounds. You can choose a schedule and scan scope that suit the website. On a busy or resource-constrained site, schedule scans outside peak hours.
Do I need the free NexusConsent plugin as well?
No. PRO installs as a single package that includes the consent engine. If you already run the free edition, PRO adopts it and keeps your existing settings and consent records - nothing to migrate, nothing to uninstall.
