Formatrica is a free WordPress form builder with built-in email delivery. Build forms visually, store and manage submissions, protect them from spam, and send notifications through WordPress, your own SMTP server, or supported email provider APIs without installing a separate SMTP plugin.

There are no submission limits, locked field types, or watermarks in the free edition.

Build forms without fighting the builder

Create forms with a drag-and-drop editor, live preview, 20 field types, and 19 ready-made templates. Use simple contact and newsletter forms or build more involved forms with file uploads, user registration, multi-column layouts, and custom validation.

Add forms to your site with the Formatrica block or shortcode. Fields can be arranged in two- and three-column layouts with individual widths, and forms can use your own accent colour with light, dark, or automatic colour schemes.

Email delivery is built in

Formatrica can handle both the form and its notification delivery. Use the standard WordPress mail system, connect your own SMTP server, or send directly through supported email providers.

Supported delivery methods include WordPress wp_mail(), custom SMTP, SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, Brevo, Amazon SES, SMTP2GO, and Mailpit for local development. Credentials are encrypted at rest, and a built-in test-email tool lets you check the configuration before putting a form live.

If your site already uses another SMTP or mail-delivery plugin, Formatrica can continue using it through WordPress mail instead.

Store and manage submissions

Form submissions can be stored directly on your WordPress site, browsed from the admin area, marked as read or unread, and exported to CSV.

Privacy controls let you store visitor IP addresses in full, anonymise them, or disable IP storage entirely. Automatic retention rules can also remove old submissions after a period you choose.

Spam protection and security

Formatrica includes honeypot protection, CSRF protection, minimum submission-time checks, and IP-based rate limiting.

For additional protection, you can enable Google reCAPTCHA v3, Cloudflare Turnstile, or FriendlyCaptcha on individual forms.

Connect forms to the rest of your site

Built-in integrations include Zapier, Make.com, Slack, Mailchimp, Brevo, WooCommerce, WordPress post creation with ACF support, and signed custom webhooks.

Integration jobs are processed in the background, so a slow external service does not have to delay the visitor's form submission.

Formatrica can also create WordPress user accounts from registration forms, with email verification required before the new user can log in.

Built for WordPress, without the phone-home requirement

Formatrica does not contact NexusPlugins or any external service by default. External services are used only when you explicitly enable and configure them for a form.

The plugin also includes documented hooks and filters for developers and ships with German, French, and Macedonian translations.
